New York deli bagel
Ingredients
- 1 bagel
- 1/2 tbsp light mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp yellow or Dijon mustard, or to taste
- gherkin, chopped
- Small handful watercress
- medium slices pastrami
Method
- Halve the bagel and lightly toast it if you like. Mix the mayonnaise with the mustard and stir in the chopped gherkin.
- Spread it on the bottom half of the bagel and add some watercress.
- Add the pastrami, top with the other bagel half and serve, or wrap in greaseproof paper, then foil and take to work.
